Welcome to the year 3 - 6 webpage for 2008. This class has 14 beautiful students and their teacher Karen Greaves is thrilled to be back teaching them!

We have an integrated, negotiated curriculum which is very much a student-centred learning approach.

The aim this year is to further develop independent, self motivated learners who have a thirst for knowledge and understandings. The many strategies implemented include Multiple Intelligences, Thinker Keys, Bloom’s Taxonomy etc.

The Virtues Programme is an integral part of dealing with the whole child and coupled with Relaxation sessions, Brain Gym, classical music, scented candles and a ‘no punishments no rewards’ agreement, the scene is set for creating their positive learning environment. The students know they are safe and valued and understand that risk taking is meant to be a part of everyday learning!
