Each year the Year 10 Senior Leaders take on particular roles and responsibilities to help make their school a more interesting and caring environment. This year they coordinated an "Island Clean Up Day" which saw school children and community members coming together to clean up their beautiful island home. The students worked collaboratively with Health and the local shire to coordinate this event.
The Year 9's tired but satisfied with their efforts on "Island Clean Up Day" 2006 The major focus in 2006 is to support their sponsored child, Abudu who comes from Malawi in Africa.
The senior leaders also enjoy being involved in the organisation of special school events such as Harmony Day which was celebrated in March. The students promoted the day to the school community and organised a staff/students volleyball match. After lunch they buddied up with the younger students to share stories. The day was very successful and reminded everyone of the importance of living together in harmony.
